WaveMaker License Policy

WaveMaker provides its software under a dual license policy which offers developers and enterprises the choice of an open source license (AGPL v3) or a commercial license.

For Open Source Developers

If you are developing and distributing open source applications under the AGPL v3 License, then you are free to use and distribute WaveMaker with your application. 

For Enterprise Developers and IT Administrators

WaveMaker provides developers everything they need to develop and deploy web-based applications.  Our open source download and developer community may be all you need to get up and running immediately.

We recognize that many companies need a commercial license, professional support and indemnification in order to adopt technology in their organization.  WaveMaker offers an Enterprise Subscription that provides certified software, updates and upgrades, proactive alerts and full production-level technical support.

For Consultants, Integrators and Commercial Software Developers

If you are building applications on behalf of your client, and they do not need the commercial services of our Enterprise Subscription, the open-source product is all you need.
For OEMs, ISVs and VARs who distribute WaveMaker with their products and do not license and distribute their source code under the AGPL, WaveMaker provides a flexible OEM Commercial License.

At WaveMaker, we believe in open source software. We encourage everyone to participate in open source communities and publish open source software under an AGPL License.
