CHICAGO, IL - January 17, 2007 - ActiveGrid, Inc., the Enterprise Web 2.0™ Company, and PSC Group, LLC. today announced a joint initiative to help IBM Lotus Domino customers create next-generation Enterprise Web 2.0 applications.
Under an expanded partnership between ActiveGrid and PSC, the two companies will co-develop and sell solutions that easily integrate Lotus Domino applications with other enterprise systems — via highly interactive user interfaces and a cost-effective, standards-based model for application integration and deployment — to create powerful new Web applications.
ActiveGrid is a leader in simplifying the integration of multiple services, databases and applications into single, composite (or mashup) applications. Its enterprise-ready development and deployment solution is built on lightweight-architecture principles that can scale across clusters of commodity servers.
PSC is a 17-year-old information-technology and professional services consulting firm that has been an IBM business partner and Lotus Software advocate for more than a decade. The company, which has established formal partnerships with many of the industry's leading firms and standards organizations, has won numerous awards from Lotus for its solutions that have helped customers reach new levels of business collaboration.
"In today's environment, where business conditions and competitive pressures change on a dime, it's crucial that companies be able to change their IT-based business processes with the same speed and agility," said Andrew Lauter, President PSC Group. "ActiveGrid's solutions and PSC's business process integration savvy offer great value to enterprises that rely on Lotus Domino behind the scenes as part of their business workflow."
"PSC already was one of our channel partners, and we're delighted to now jointly offer technology, training and services specifically targeting customers that want to leverage their existing Lotus Domino data and applications to create new rich, interactive, customized applications with seamless integration to existing back-end systems," said Christopher Keene, ActiveGrid CEO.
With ActiveGrid Studio and ActiveGrid Server, users of Lotus Domino 7.0 and up can easily create rich, interactive Web 2.0-style applications that integrate Lotus Domino applications with data stored in other enterprise systems to create new, more powerful integrated applications. ActiveGrid's easy-to-use standard XML declarative development model allows a new application to be created and deployed in days and not months, and deployed with enterprise-ready security across commodity servers on both LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP/Python/Perl) and Java infrastructure stacks.
Customers in financial services and manufacturing are expected to be an especially strong target for the ActiveGrid-PSC partnership because of the heavy concentration of Lotus workflow systems in those industries.
The two companies are encouraging customers to sign up for a "Build Day," where working with ActiveGrid and PSC, they can gain hands-on experience building an Enterprise Web 2.0 application against a Lotus Domino Database.
